Perhaps the first snow flakes of the season for western Greenbrier this weekend! Dont get too excited because we are not expecting much, but it is a small possibility early Sunday morning as a sharp upper trough and shot of cold air sweep through the region. This will be mainly for elevations above 3500 feet in northwest Greenbrier county. Hoping for lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures next week...well dont get your hopes up for that either. Another closed upper low is progged to settle over the region early next week providing abundant cloud cover...showers...and seasonably cool temperatures. This pattern will likely linger into at least Wednesday...possibly even Thursday. The good news is that we still dont see any extended periods of cold weather or widespread freezing temperatures.
