Perhaps the greatest quality of Australian people is a willingness to help others when they need it most. Not one person in the Hunter, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle or Port Stephens communities could ignore the devastating and damaging effects of the recent bush-fires. The Zads Lads are just a handful of regular blokes. We like a beer, we love our sport and well always help our mates. We arent firefighters, we arent members of any of the Emergency Services and we were all lucky enough to not have to face the fear of losing everything to a fire. We feel we need to do our bit this weekend, but we need your help. This weekend, on Sunday October 20, to coincide with the first Newcastle United Jets home game, us Zads Lads will be donating to the Rural Fire Service. And this is where we need you. Our donation will be based on your input. $10 for EVERY person who is brave enough to don a bald cap and join us to cheer on your team, will be donated to those brave men and women who risk their lives to protect the lives of others. We will have a clipboard for you to fill out your name (so we know you attended) and you can even grab a group photo! Incase you needed some humiliating insight into what you look like, bald. Bald caps can be purchased from party stores across Newcastle and we are more than happy for you to use an old pair of stockings or a swimming cap to play your part! If youre unsure of where to find us, we populate the Southern end of Hunter Stadium, just behind the goals. Now its up to you. We will be donating $10 for EVERY person who gets bald with us this Sunday afternoon. We arent asking you to donate your own money, just your time.
