Perilous thoughts and unspeakable situation The elders, students of our history and very wise young Nigerians will tell you that God or whatever you call it averted a major disaster yesterday in Nigeria. Nigeria is in a perilous state and the politicians are taking us in a perilous journey that has exposed us to imminent risks of disaster and ruin. I am not a prophet of doom but I have read at least five books about Nzeogwu coup and civil war. I beg people to read about Rwanda to know why more 800,000 people were killed. I will not like to go into details here. Nigeria and Nigerians were lucky that Buhari was not killed yesterday in a bomb blast. Nigeria is on the edge and politicians cannot see it. They are not ready to discuss the vital issues neither ready to focus on governance. Like the politicians of doom in Rwanda, Nigerian politicians will face war crimes if they think they are safe with their families after turning us against each other. I am glad Buhari survived that blast .. a major disaster averted.
