Perish this thought that some people are more blessed than your are due to your current status compared to theirs. God said that we are all equal in his eyes, God cannot create inequalities in human and the bible does not shy away from stressing this point! Some Pple like giving excuses when they see a rich person that “ Huyo amebarikiwa” If there are lies ,this is one of the greatest because it dis-empowers those who believes in it. Two women were evicted from their homes during the tribal clashes of 2007/2008 and they took refuge together with their children in an IDP camp in Naivasha. They had lost everything and they were relaying on well wishers for their meager upkeep. One day, a team of Red Cross personnel donated assorted food items among them 3 packets of unga ya chapo, cooking fat, sugar, tea leave, powdered milk etc. One of the ladies talked to her children and told them that in order for the ration to last longer, they should agree to take only one meal per day since they didn’t know when the next supply would become available. The 2nd lady had a different plan. She decided to bake 40 chapatis from 2 packets of unga and hawked them in several construction sites in Naivasha town. She sold each chapati for 15 bob and managed to sell all the 40 chapatis that day! By the end of the day, she had in her pocket 600 bob! Enough to buy 4.5 more packets of Unga at a price of ksh 130 each! Remember she still had one packet for her family. She baked 80 chapos from 4 packets on her 2nd business day which earned her 1200 bob. To cut the long story short, this lady moved out of the camp in the 3rd month, rented her own house and enrolled her children back to school. Today she is not referred to as an IDP! The other lady is still in the IDP camp asking Jehovah to come na usitumane. The two ladies were given the same quantities of wheat flour, today their lives are miles apart. Why? Is it because one is blessed than the other? No! It has everything to do with what you choose to do with your blessings. Unaweza amua kuila kidogo kidogo ,kama the first lady mpaka yesu arudi (burying the talent remember the story ) or to take risk like the 2nd lady . I believe that I do have the same blessing with Obama, Warren Buffet, Bill gates, etc but I have chosen to be what I am today. And remember choices have consequences, so I am walking the consequences of my choices as the mentioned pple are walking theirs. What is your choice today?
