Perry has called it a “monstrosity” and a “stomach punch to the American economy,” yet they sure are enjoying the hundreds of millions of dollars the state has already received in ACA grants. They are willing to shut down the government if the ACA isn’t defunded. Shutting down government means citizens could see drastic delays with their Social Security checks, their Medicaid checks, military personnel wouldn’t be paid and government workers would be sent home. Congress would still enjoy their generous monthly paychecks and healthcare. But hey, thems the breaks folks.
