Persecution is a major factor in the globalization movement; often we look at persecution events as if God has abandoned his people. To the contrary, God allows persecution to bring his people closer and bless others through his gracious plan. In Acts we see the first example of God’s grace to his people and their neighboring territories (Acts 8). The human’s habit always inclines to settle in one place, calling it home, notwithstanding, God always reminds us that we should look to heaven as our home not to vanishing earth. God wants to remind us that we are all migrating vertically from the temporary present place to our permanent home with him. As part of God’s big plan, God causes us to migrate horizontally as a mission on the way to our permanent home. May we encounter our temporary persecution with joy as we lift the name of our lord on high. Be blessed my brothers and sisters.
