Perseverance in the place of prayer: Never cease to pray, do not - TopicsExpress

Perseverance in the place of prayer: Never cease to pray, do not get tired of interceding for your family, your Church, your nation. Pray for yourself, pray without ceasing (1 Thess.5:17) and remember to give thanks continually. The man who requested 3 loaves of bread from a friend at midnight was persistent in his request ( Luke 11:5-13). He answered because of the mans persistence. You are to continue to ask, continue to seek continue to knock (Luke 11:9-10). You can easily become weary of these things. Your Christian walk started with so much zeal, but is this zeal abating? Does Gods blessing stop you from praying? Or on the other hand affliction? Do you feel like giving up? Your loved ones still unsaved? Still out of work? Financial needs unmet? Do not let up in your prayers. Persevere and prevail. Jesus gave a beautiful illustration with the story of the persistent widow. The widow worried the Judge who neither feared God or man with her plea: Grant me justice against my adversary. For sometime he refused. But finally he said to himself, Even though I dont fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she wont eventually wear me out with her coming! Perhaps you have petitioned God for deliverance from your adversaries. Salvation for the lost: praying for the end time harvest of the nations. It could be a financial breakthrough you have been praying for. My encouragement to you this morning is persist in the place if prayer. Do not give up! Resolve by Gods grace that, however weak or poor your prayers may seem, you are praying to a God who has eyes to see and ears to hear. God would not have asked us to pray if He did not mean to answer them. Justice belongs to God ( Luke 18:1, Eph.16:18, 1 Thess. 5:17). How and when your prayers shall be answered is completely up to God. Have faith in the promises and power of God. He is willing and able to answer your prayers( Luke 18:1, Eph. 6:18, 1Thess. 5:17). Persist in the place of prayer every day, never cease to pray. When your petition is delayed, remember Hannah and Zacharias (1Sam. 1:27, Luke 1:13). Delay is not denial, persist in prayer. Remember what He has done in the past and thank Him for it, while you wait for answered prayer in the present. Have a prayerful Tuesday. Rejoice and again I say rejoice.
