~ Personally? I never use my oven. I take two potatoes wash them and leave water on them to turn into steam in the microwave. No poking. I microwave them for 15 minutes and they turn out OK. Make sure both potatoes are the same size or a small one will burn/get hard while the larger one is still cooking inside! Since I moved into my new apartment I havent used the oven in 15 months. I use a counter top grill, toaster oven, microwave, and crockpots for everything. I only use the range burner tops to cook pasta water.
