Perspective It saddens me to watch the tragedies unfolding in Ferguson. A town has been ripped apart as we watch from afar, letting our preconceived notions choose who we side with. Its sad when politics and agendas cloud the unspoken tragedy which is the closed minded views so many have. The untold tragedy is two-fold, first the perception that all the protestors are out looking to loot and riot. The second part is that all cops are racist and looking to hurt or kill people of darker skin. Both are ridiculous views that only lead to unnecessary hate. No matter the side you fall on, please keep an open mind. Protest loud and proud, but with respect for your community and dont allow the criminals to hijack your message. Show respect for the men and women who risk their lives everyday to protect our communities, the unsung heroes who do way more good than bad and dont allow the few bad apples ruin the bunch. You must hold to the credo of justice and not hide behind a brotherhood. A crime is a crime, let the facts come out and hold off on passing judgement before we understand what truly happened. In the meantime, express yourself, its our greatest freedom, but be respectful. In the end, God is the only true judge...and he sees all. So lets pray that everyone comes out of this tragedy having learned some lessons and gained perspective. Only then can a split community become whole.
