Pervaiz Rashid Sb is in reality a man of peace and conciliation as I had explained in a Capital TV program with Sattar Khan yesterday. He is Information Minister because he enjoys the trust and confidence of both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif Sb but he should have an effective junior state minister for attacking and Pervaiz Rashids ability to listen and reconciliation should have been used for finding solutions. At this moment when all who have eyes and ears and brains have seen that PMLN privateers have set a ground for violence and shooters were linked with Rana Sana Ullah then this press conference of demonization of Imran Khan and again presenting him as an Anarchist and threat to Pakistan and someone acting on foreign instructions is not helpful at all. Imran Khan may have many problems or personal weaknesses, all leaders have. Politics is never about university exam truth or facts but politics is about larger realities and on that level Imran Khan is connecting with countless millions across the country. In this status he represents the best partner for strengthening the democratic system. PM Nawaz and his team should stop denying the reality; they need to engage Imran and PTI into a serious, meaningful political negotiations, a result oriented negotiation that can resolve the crisis around the Elections of 2013, an effective Judicial Commission, Electoral Reforms and Political Reforms thus setting ground for change within the system and then convincing all sides for an early Elections; such elections can be in 2015, mid or late or may be in 2016 but we need to see light at the end of the tunnel.
