Pete Creek assigned me the number 5, so here are 5 things you might not know about me. Like this post, and I will give you a number. 1. I was once trained by British Olympic coach Wilf Paish when I was a schoolboy Polevaulter 2. I was awarded the Good Citizen of the Month award by the Lord Mayor of Leeds and Yorkshire Post for apprehending a store thief in Leeds - it was the best rugby tackle I ever made - even better than the one I made on Graham Casey in a TMS Old Boys game 3. I can turn my eyelids inside out 4. I have peed in some rather strange places: a) A hanging basket at the Grand Theatre in Leeds when I was about 9 yrs because I was too scared to ask to go to the loo b) Next to the main entrance to the Police station at City Square, Leeds - I was about 19 yrs and nearly got arrested c) In golf trophies in a friends display cabinet at a party - about 17 yrs d) In a beer bottle, put the cap back on and placed it in the fridge at a party - someone was stealing my beer and yes, I found out who it was 5. As a result of 2) above, the head of the West Yorkshire Police invited me for lunch and tried to convince me to join the Police - as a graduate with a degree I would have been fast-tracked through the initial stages and would have been a DI within 3 years and who knows where next...I declined the offer, but I have to say I was tempted.
