Peter Buffet, son of Warren Buffet- one of the richest persons in the world, has said that charity is a soap used by the Corporates to clean up the blots of their sins and to get rid of their guilty consciousness. He has named such charities the colonisation of charity. He said that charity has taken the shape of a business. Truly speaking, in our country, in the name of discharging corporate responsibility, lot many big scandals are going on. There are many NGOs in India which accepts donations and issue certificates for getting exemption from Income Tax. It is known to many that in order to get the Govt Grants, the NGOs in India have to offer a handsome percentage to the concerned granting/disbursing authorities/ministers. Many people in India quote their profession saying that they run an NGO. Obviously, it is their bread and butter. Peter Buffet rightly added that despite these charities, the inequality has always been there, rather it is increasing day by day. Charities and donations can never reduce the inequality in incomes of the people of this country. Only good and corruption free governance can ensure the elimination/avoidance of inequality of income in the society. Today, aam adami has been trapped in such a system which makes a handful of people the trillionaires at their costs i.e.making them poorer and poorer, thus, increasing further the inequality in income.
