Peter Update: 4+ weeks of endless fever and being slain by still-undiagnosed and very severe viral and bacterial infections.... 3 courses of heavy-duty antibiotics and weight loss of almost 18kg (think 39lbs!). Today Peter was FINALLY up and about for half a day. He managed to come out and help me with a few errands but after 3+ hours he was pale and exhausted. Hes thin and weak - still with some breathing issues and pain in his head - but on the road to full recovery. Tomorrow - last day of the antibiotics - is the first day of OPERATION REBUILD. :) Prebiotics, probiotics, super-foods, nurturing, lots of nights-in snuggling and resting and just getting 100% well again. Hes a TERRIBLE patient and the house we plan to build together in the near future definitely needs a private man-cave. :) But weve learned a LOT about one another and are still planning the happily-ever-afters. :)
