PhD OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an independent, creative, interactive and highly motivated researcher, with a strong background and interest in muscle biology, molecular and cellular biology, and related field. The project is highly interdisciplinary and applicants from a variety of background are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be expected to complete established goal timely, drive new experiments through evidence- based hypotheses, and improve and further develop methods. Ideally the successful candidate should have good communication skills in both written and verbal, including preparation of manuscripts and scientific conference abstracts, on a regular basis, producing written and oral presentations of methods, conclusions, and recommendations for experimental investigations. This PhD program is funded by NIH (the National Institutes for Health) with the INBRE program (IDeA Networks for Biomedical Research Excellence) at University of Wyoming. This project is focusing on molecular mechanism of muscle specific splicing factor in heart failure, especially on isoform transition and regulation of myofilament proteins in cardiac muscle. The goal of this project is to develop the novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategy for heart failure.
