PhD position on biodiversity and ecosystem services: We are looking for a motivated PhD-student to work within the project Cost-effective strategies to benefit biodiversity and ecosystem services in farmland”, at the Centre for Environmental and Climate Research (CEC) at Lund University in Sweden. This PhD-project focuses on how to best organize agricultural production to achieve biodiversity conservation and food security goals. The PhD-student will empirically evaluate the cost-effectiveness of two competing strategies (land sparing versus land sharing) for achieving national environmental and agricultural production goals. We are working in a thriving interdisciplinary team covering ecology, agronomy, economics, as well as different approaches to modelling and empirical work. We are located at the Ecology Building in Lund, a historical and lively university town close to Copenhagen and Malmö.
