Phew. What a day. It is almost over, just waiting for laundry to finish up. Last night as a resident of NJ. Tomorrow morning starts the trek back to FL almost 2 years after we moved to NJ. We got to NJ on December 23, 2012 and now we will be back in FL on the 13th and 16th (Amy flies down Tuesday night). I am very thankful for the time we have had here as it gave us time with family, especially for a good portion of our family to be with us when Kaylah was born and to see her first 15 months of life. From sleeping the majority of the time to walking now and becoming a little lady that is very silly and can be very fresh. I was able to really reconnect with my Uncle George, Aunt Josie, and finally get to meet my cousin, Angela. I alway have such a wonderful time with them, the stories, laughter, and even crying - sometimes from laughing so hard! I will really miss them. Family was the main reason why we moved to NJ, to be closer to family and to have our children be close to family since that was something that I never experienced being a military brat. It was very unselfish of us to make the move and we did it because we felt it was the right thing. When we made our pros and cons list before we moved, the only con with living in Florida was not being close to family. We loved the lives we created, the wonderful friendships we were a part of, bringing Jaxon to the beach, and going to Miami Hurricanes football games. Florida was our home and we moved away from our home. I feel very selfish leaving NJ and moving back to FL, especially since Kaylah will not be able to see her family very often, but I know in my heart that this is the right thing to do for our family. Florida is our home and even though we wont have blood relatives close to us, we do have family. For those of you that know me well (my childhood and life events that have happened) you know what I say, You dont have to be blood, to be family. We have family in FL, they may not be blood, but they love us, have been there for us, and are extremely excited we are moving back. We already have plans for Christmas day, Christmas night, and Saturday/Sunday football - that is how much our family in FL loves us. I would do anything for them, just like I would for my family. I have to give a huge thank you to my mother-in-law, Sharyn. She has done so much for us, Amy and myself, Kaylah, and Jaxon. I am so grateful and thankful, Im not sure I can say thank you enough or repay you for everything that you have done for us. This has been a very long winded update, but it was necessary. We have great things in store for us in FL, back to our home and lives we created, along with a new house in January!!!! NJ, we will be back to visit, but not during the winter. ;)
