Phew havent done one of these in a while: RANT TIME. Assassins Creed Unity is driving me up the god damn wall. Ubisoft releases this game in such a herendously buggy state (as I write this, the Patch has been downloaded and installed). Ive fallen through the world THREE times. Ive clipped inside of unexplorable buildings when trying to control my descent, and then theres the unlockable bullshit. Want to don the robes of the previous assassins? Use the website: Assassins Creed Initiates! ..no no no, hold your horses, Ubisoft. Ive played 1. 2. Brotherhood. Revelations. 3. Black Flag. All on this account. It picked up on my save files. Thats how Ive unlocked these robes. In the previous sequels. Why the HELL do I have to use this website? Well whatever, I go to the website, and OH LOOK. The actual website doesnt load. No log-in screen, nothing. Consistent. Every day since launch. Then, when I launch it from the game, it tells me that none of my save data has carried over from the precious games. Oh look, a blue chest. I wonder how I can unlock-- Play Assassins Creed Unity Companion App. What? No. Youre kidding, right? This is in-game. This is a chest in-game that youre not allowing me to open until I use your app? Whoa. Thats a badass piece of armor-- Play Assassins Creed Unity Companion App to Unlock. Oh. Im sorry. Thats a third of the god damn armor in these tabs that I cant unlock until Ive USED THE GOD DAMN APP. *Installs & loads Unity Companion App* I played a few missions, after remembering my god damn uPlay email & password, and woop. Turns out I have to play a shit ton of it to unlock these chests & robes. *logs into app in an hour, the App asks for log-in information, so I sign in again, even though I clicked remember me.* My information was wiped, so I had to do all these missions all over again. *logs in an hour after that* No log-in information saved. Log in a third time, all information wiped again. Oh, and if that wasnt enough, Im unable to sustain a good-enough internet connection at this school to play the co-op missions. Ykno. Another third of the god damn game. Funny how I can play Destiny, a strictly online MMO Shooter and binge on its multiplayer for hours, but THE GAME CANNOT SUSTAIN THESE CO-OP MISSIONS. Oh, and on the off chance it does, THE GAME CRASHES. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? No seriously, what the hell is this? I like your game, Ubisoft. I like it! Im having fun when all of the mechanics decide to play together nicely, but HOLY CRAP. Everything I want, I cant unlock due to your instablity and lack of sufficient patching. WHY DIDNT YOU DELAY YOUR GAME? Oh, wait. You did. SO IT CAN LAUNCH ALONGSIDE ROGUE. Instead of, oh ykno, optimizing things, ironing things out, etc. Im so tired of this bullshit. IT MAKES ME NOT WANT TO PLAY YOUR GAME. My most anticipated game of the year. God forbid Far Cry 4 launches this awfully.
