Pheww I dont even know where to start........Friday I made the trip to Albany to pick up our VIP for the MACA event on Saturday in Glens Falls. Hands Across NY had our very own Angel on earth with us this weekend. Anthony, a shaken baby SURVIVOR, proudly stood on the sidewalk holding signs speaking out against child abuse and melted hearts in the process. I couldnt love this little man any more if I tried!! He will forever be special to me and this weekend was just the first of what we hope to be many visits with him and his family. To every good beginning there is all to often a tragic end and that came to our Hands Family once again. Sunday morning I received a call that one of our own, Suann Dupree had passed away. Suann is the very loved, amazing sister of our Laurie Russell and our hearts are breaking for her and her family right now. I am asking my friends and family to please keep Suanns family in your prayers and in her honor do something kind for a stranger whenever you can! Suann opened her home to strangers that were cold and hungry and made them family. It only takes a small act of kindness to change someones day from bad to good or even good to great. Buy a cup of coffee for the person behind you in line. Instead of glares or snide comments offer a smile or encouraging word to the frazzled Mom with the screaming child, you never know that child may very well be a survivor like our Anthony and only needs love and acceptance. I could ramble on all night but the book writing has always been our Fearless job so I will leave you all with this.........If I havent told you lately how much you mean to me and you have doubts about where you stand in my life, call me, message me and I will tell you personally as well as on facebook........I LOVE YOU and you matter to me!!!!!!
