Philippine StockMarket Profiles 1) Maestro, as fondly called by his fellow Tappers (Traders Apprentice Pilipinas) is a former CEO and president of PNB Capital and Investments Corp. Atenean and studied in Wharton, he helped in underwriting several issues during his time. With his matinee idol looks, he found himself in a commercial for AB Capital Investments, and after constant prodding from mentors Lopez et al, he began his investing journey with BPC. Tony Herbosa is loved by many trading communities for his passion in markets akin to having a relationship with his very funny antics like legal wife when referring to meg on explaining to people that its important to have a core and a base on your long term holdings. He is good in quantifying the intangibles and unquantifiable goods. I believe he calls it the kharmic appeal of whether a company has what it takes to be pumped in the market. It takes those guts and instincts to close your eyes (his pikit mata calls) and ride companies where fundamentals are still at the rough end. How do you quantify the importance of scarce goods and concepts? TAP gives people options to re calibrate their portfolio to companies and stocks they wish to concentrate upon. The problem I find is that he only seems to believe that only the TAP way is the right way to be making a lot of money, with comments ranging from tigas ulo, why make things complicated? , so in some way hes like a hippie in the market frustrated with fund managers and people who diversify into stable dividend yield earners because hes after explosive moves, even if it can be complacent on the fundamentals. On a smaller operation, this might work even on 5-10m pesos, but to do such things on a larger scale is a zero sum game. There will be a liquidity limit at times on this strategy. So volume which he preaches may not always apply if thoroughly applied to every last penny. And theres one problem too, he only believes that his way is the way which turns off many of the rest who tried to complement his methods. All in all though, we believe that many people love Maestro and we sincerely hope everything is well for TAP and everyone else in between:) 2.) SureBol - we have to give credit to mr Roy Reyes coz he is really the Jim Cramer in the Philippines who helps many newbie love trading more with his popularized terms like BOBO, ROBO, LIP, Spot, woof, with mr. Cal Al :) Playbooks are his constant posts and he carries himself on his own. He negates other remarks and has his own mind even with his contrarian picks of #TFHI and #SMC amongst many things. Hes a crazy guy but is a normal Ilonggo who constantly devotes himself in the markets. Constantly criticized for his surebol hype, he is a man who can write poems about markets and anything under the sun and is just joking around. Look through his posts because hes just a hyperactive guy.
