Philly, PA: Meet Maggie Mae! (formerly Lady at Philly - TopicsExpress

Philly, PA: Meet Maggie Mae! (formerly Lady at Philly ACCT) Maggie is a 10-11 month old female that came as a stray to a high kill shelter in Philly after being found abandoned in a yard. Her story was sent to us from the shelter as she was extremely URGENT due to her condition… You see, Maggie has a very mild neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (her cerebellum in her brain wasnt completely formed so she sometimes walks slightly wobbly, but is otherwise functionally normal) and she needed to leave the shelter immediately or she was at high risk of being put to sleep. Maggie Mae is good with dogs as well as cats, is up to date on shots, heartworm/lyme negative and will be spayed/microchipped prior to being adopted. A note from Maggies foster mom: Maggie Mae is settling into her foster home nicely and her personality is truly starting to shine! She loves kids! She gets so excited when she hears their voices in the morning as they come down the stairs or as they come walking in after school. She copes quite well with her neurological condition and her confidence is building every day. She will need a home that understands that her needs are a little more than your average furry family member, in the way of keeping her safe since she can become a little off balance at times. She is crate-trained and we are currently working on house breaking and walking on a leash. She is a sweetie that will truly steal your heart.
