Philosophical point: (taken after reflection on the closing scene of the movie: Instinct) One is standing in the rain. One can either embrace the rain as necture from heaven and love/(God) its cooling refreshing life giving form or one can cover their head in fear of getting wet and cower in the face of lifes opportunities. Yes the rain can brings storms but to a person dieing of thirst rain is God acting to promote life to move itself through Love.
