What have you heard abut the LASD board? Students are often given grades A-F on their work, what grade would you give LASD? To accommodate growing school enrollment, blah blah blah, shall LASD issue $150 million in bonds? If election was held today, how would you vote? If the rate were $30 per $100k of assessed value, would you vote to approve bond? Task force studied demographics and need to accommodate student enrollment, task force recommended district acquiring additional space. Do you lean to approve or not? List of things that money could be spent on - rate them... How compelling are these arguments to support school bond measure -- 1) energy savings of $500k/year, 2) traffic issues - alleviate traffic 3) Citizens oversight board, no money to administrators, 4) keeping schools among best in state, keep prop values high 5) LASD and BCS in legal dispute, measure provides long term solution and end dispute by providing schools to BCS 6) keep LASD schools up to date, physically 7) ECR pop growth - need more space, 8) Bond allows BCS to have its own school, compelling? 9) Technology improvements 10) Preserve small neighborhood schools as enrollment grows 11) provides local funds that cannot be taken by state to keep schools up to date, Questions reaction to statements pro/con views on bond measure, how compelling are each argument?
