People who came early on right after the immigration law was passed have become older, have retired or are retiring now. What has this generation accomplished? Who are they? What do they think? What are the things that Korean people have been able to accomplish in New York City? Do you know the Koreans of New York? What do you think about them? Tell your story or stories through photographs. In recognition of the older generation of Korean immigrants, their courage, entrepreneurship and hard work, the Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY) and the Korea Art Forum (KAF) have come together to seek new photographs that freshly refer to, improve or help conceptualize what Korean means for New York City – images that are memorable, beautiful or great; or if you like, images that creatively and effectively capturing Koreans’ impacts on the global exposure of today’s New York City in culture and economy.
