Photos by Bill Luther Laird Veterans for Veterans, an outreach organization that supports local Veterans, recently donated a van to Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. The van will be used to transport Veterans to their appointments at the medical center’s community based outpatient clinic in Longview, Texas. Veterans for Veterans donated the vehicle in partnership with a local auto dealership—community leaders, motor cycle clubs, Veterans Service Organizations, law enforcement officials and other community partners observed the event. “We do this as a way to give back to Veterans,” Theresa Neff, spokesperson, Veterans for Veterans, said. “Of course the Veterans know how much we appreciate them.” “Every time we call on your group to help our Veterans, you answer,” Reginald Hardy, Chief, Voluntary Service, Overton Brooks VA, said. “This is going to provide many of our Veterans with the opportunity to get to their appointments.”
