Photos from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra show we went to see last week. If youve never seen them perform before GO. It was amazing. Its too bad that I dont know much about my smart phone because I took a lot of fantastic video of the best parts of the show, er, I THOUGHT I did but they are not there. Just a few photos that werent even from the best parts of the show. So disappointing that I dont have all those videos and photos like I thought I did. Note on the stage a giant wooden trunk behind the performers at the front of the stage. The lid is open and is bordered with lights and inside the box rose up a stage with seated musicians. The screens and windows behind the box changed throughout the night. There were lazers projected out into the audience, the ceiling blew SNOW down on the audience below, there were blasts of fire (we could feel the heat from that from our audience seats) on the stage, and a small tower/stage on the arena floor toward the back of the arena that raised high up into the air with two musicians on it banging away on their electric guitars or electric violins while on stage two huge (think erector sets) mechanical telescoping arms carried two more musicians standing on the ends of the thing high up and out, out, out, over the audience as they rocked out. The music raised the hair on the back of my neck and arms and set my heart pounding. It was incredible. The show is not for those expecting traditional orchestra music. This is a Rock show. ESPECIALLY the second half of the show where they asked us if we wanted to stay and see them rock out (after the Christmas Box part of the show was finished) and that, my friends, is what made me want to become a head banger. ROCK ON!
