Phyllis Hansford 5 hrs · Edited · Well I just spoke with Andreas nurse a few mins ago and the ENT dr removed a bone from inside her ear that was severely infected, he inserted a drain tube to take care of any remaining infection there, he said there wasnt any ear drum to work with as she lost it several years ago due to infection...They repeated the MRI, there are still several abscesses on her brain, so she will be going into surgery @ 7:30 in the morn, the nurse said this is a more complicated surgery and on a larger scale than the first one seeing as she still has several pockets of infection, not just toward the front of the brain, but at the back as well...The good news however is, her vitals are staying steady and strong, he said that cranial fluid has been minimal which means little brain swelling and little pressure, and after her surgery tomorrow, they plan to wake her and wean her off the vent and start feeding her...Thank God for keeping her thus far, but she still needs all your prayers, tomorrows surgery is a biggie..Please say a prayer for her !
