Freedom Summer 111 #SNCC volunteers and local residents were arrested trying to register to vote in Greenwood, MS as part of Freedom Day Happy Belated Birthday - July 10th Weather participated in voter Registration, Freedom School, marches, and was arrested twice in the summer of 1964. She spent several weeks in jail: Federal Jail in Clarksdale, MS with Arrance Brooks, bond was set, where they were escorted back to Greenwood, MS. In 1964, she served jail cell with other Civil Rights Veterans: June Johnson, Ida Holland, Willie and James Peacock during the Summer of 1964 in Greenwood Jail. source: crvm.org
