Pictured are Ethan Homeyer who has earned the rank of Life Scout and Brady Abell who is now a First Class Scout. First Class is the goal set for each boy who joins a Scout Troop. It means he has passed the basic skills for Scouting adventure programs. Hes ready for the really great activities, like hiking mountains, rafting white water, scuba diving, and sea kayaking. Life Scout is the rank just before advancement to Eagle. Ethan will earn seven more specified Merit Badges and coordinate an Eagle project in earning his Eagle Award. The awards were presented at a Troop Court of Honor with other rank advancements and several merit badges. Over half the Scouts received awards. Next month nine Scouts go to summer camp, while Chase and Dalton Swanson and Ethan Homeyer are working as Counselors in Training at Tomahawk Scout Reservation in Wisconsin.
