Pictures of Addie, the Mama dog sedated to be euthanized last week. I went by to visit her tonight. Shes been fully vetted--spayed, dewormed (she had hooks and whips), had a Heartgard to kill the microfilaria in her blood, a Nexgard flea/tick pill and in boarding for a week. Addie will start doxycycline in foster care and have Heartworm treatment in a few weeks.. She is underweight. You can feel her ribs and see her spine. With regular meals she should be a healthy weight in no time. Thanks again to Lisa Rood for opening your heart and home to this deserving dog. And to her transporters who will see her safely to her foster home! Addie needs to learn to trust humans. We have learned that after 3 years of feeding her and taking her puppies to the shelter, she was shot at to run her off. Shes fearful, and she may always have some fear issues, but she is adoptable!!
