Pictures of SAR rescue on Digges Island, Quebec In the evening of 2 Aug, a CC-130 from 435 Sqn, in Winnipeg, and a CH-149 from 103 Sqn, in Gander, were tasked to recover a 31 year-old male who had fallen from a cliff ledge on Digges Island, located on the northern tip of Quebec. Two Search and Rescue Technicians parachuted from the Hercules and provided medical care to the patient until the Cormorant arrived and extracted them. The helicopter flew to Puvirnituq airport where the patient and the SAR Tech were transferred to the Hercules. The group flew back to Winnipeg where the patient was transferred to local medical authorities. Photos: Capt Luc Coates
