Pilanesberg brown, thats what I called the talcum power on the rear fender of the Cruiser. Its a unique colour and those who visit the park will know exactly what I mean, billowing clouds of it wafting through the vehicle as one rounds a bend and comes face to face with an elephant are a trivial price to pay for the privilege! One never drives with the windows closed, you would not get the aroma of the fresh dew on the morning grass and the sharp, brew house aroma of elephant dung with them closed! I love the early morning smell in the dead of winter, as a kid I told my dad that I liked the smell of coldness when we set out on a hunt. He chuckled and said that he did too... Try it, winter mornings smell different in the bushveld! Then the sun comes up all red and angry looking but turns into a beautiful day! Have fun! Oh it s my little sisters birthday today she was my close friend on our Kruger park trips from the earliest days, Happy Birthday Annie!
