Pilbara pup has improved , thanks for advice [Jill Watson] but Pilbara had a chronic intestinal bacterial infection . he now hates me, pushing tablets down his throat , and giving him this white medicine which he promptly throws up . he can only have chicken and rice, so now his tummy thinks his throat has been cut and he truly believes I am deliberately starving him, so he seeks to seek and search other food source, be it a toilet roll or a piece of paper, I have to constantly pull every thing out of his mouth, when I can catch him . have to take Genna to the vet again , cant seem to get her nose issue sorted , it flares up like an allergy, scaly and itchy , she scratches and her eyes and nose then get infected , its not a mite , the vet have not been able to determine what is causing it , so when it starts we have to give her steroids and antibiotics which work but as soon as the course is finished it flares up again. so my thought is we may need to get scrapings and do tests to determine the source . [ perhaps in hind sight this should have been done to start with ] took Bindy and khoas [ thinking we will call him Kiah] down for a swim yesterday , he is such a lovely natured boy and Bindy while reluctant, did enjoy her swim , she didnt appreciate all the human attention and realized I too was becoming annoyed . how many people said how cool to own a dingo truly it is an aggravation. and you cant get it through , they are not owned they are not dogs, damn really it is a pain ,any way Bindy told a few to get lost .. in her dingo lingo . khoas is still having separation anxiety , early days yet, but sad when circumstances create a situation and the dingo needs rehome , he sleep inside at night , means every thing is out of sync , but if he feels more secure it has to be . mind you the house reeks of vinegar , because I spray every thing to stop him marking every thing , better vinegar than dingo pee . old girl has got the teacup bluffed she only has to look at him and he knows exactly what she says . he very sedately decides against jumping on her and takes a wide birth to avoid her , he is learning . I am interested in views pertaining to the use of the Cesar Milan technique of training . I have my opinion which will no doubt create a degree of criticism, how ever, having researched this technique it does cause me concern . Based on the information I was able to obtain, taking note that the failures were not available , and finding most of this technique is based on aggression , to incite a confrontation then to totally force the animal into submission . If one seeks to demoralize humiliate and force an animal to comply through and based on aggression , then surely that person wielding that power is seriously lacking . I would find no joy in forcing an animal to comply and have found an animal [dog] will willing comply if taught with patience understanding and respect, reward and repetition, dogs have a desire to please . more confrontational is the thought that this practice may be used on dingoes, [ although I have no reason to believe it is being used ] but if someone was to entertain the idea I would ask why ? why force a dingo into a challenge situation to then prove your dominance by forcing submission , truly scary stuff and no respect for said dingo or the fact that he is a primitive wild animal . if one so seeks such dominance then what joy is there in living with an animal with no will ,no spirit and no ability to free think without fear of reprisal fear control is not respect .. I do not expect a dingo to comply with all I request and I do indeed request , never is my will enforced upon them , this I find more positive when dealing with not only dogs but most definitely dingoes . just an opinion .
