Pilgrimage - 29th of June. Today I visited a Gompa. The inside - TopicsExpress

Pilgrimage - 29th of June. Today I visited a Gompa. The inside was lined with thangkas (paintings of Omniscient Ones, High level Bodhisattvas, Arya beings and great teachers). Each Thangka has a brief description summing up their contribution and qualities; like this one for example: I bow at your feet, O Dignaga, the logician. You who, in order to present the Buddhas way through evidence-based reasoning. Opening hundreds of gateways of valid cognition, and offered as a gift to the world, the eyes of critical intelligence. They are the Geniuses from Narlanda monastic university of ancient India. By the time I past Atisha, Kamalashela and got to Shantideva, I had tears in my eyes. These are the writers whose works Ive been fortunate enough to have had the Dalai Lama present and provide commentary of over the years, when he tours. It was such a highly affecting stroll. The admiration I have for these beings is profound and thats what evoked the tears as I looked up at them with their image high above me where they belong. The paintings are exquisite with the portrayal of their intense, almond or tranquil eyes; the depiction of lucid and vivid intelligence and infinite altruism. They are almost akin to indigo children, the star seeds, the crystal children the Rinpoches of Tibet, the Chomksys and Kropotkins - beings that through extraordinary intelligence and great compassion, take rebirth from one planet to the next; life after life to enlighten the worlds and end misery. I love them so much for that. But its only in the last year that I have really focus on study and listening to the Dalai Lamas recordings repetitively. According to some tantric literature - Im a typical reincarnated tantric practitioner. That is to say, I go hard at meditation (for over 10 years now) and neglect the study part of it - picking up from where I left of In my previous life. But thats not to say I was a Buddhist on earth in my past life; I may have been I dont know I cant remember my past lives, yet. On some planets its not religion, or Buddhism, its the science of consciousness and the mechanics of reality; although Im sure its regard as just as sacred by those who are suited for the teachings. These planets are probably bit more advanced of course then ours; hopefully one day ours will progress to this point and beyond. This planet is going through a dark age at present, but I think things will be ok, because even The Dalai Lama has recognised that the younger generations are exceptionally bright. Its the younger generations that are expressing social and ecological concern and various luminous qualities that give the Dalai Lama hope for the future of this planet. So on that note. May all beings on earth be freed from degrading and dehumanising employers, banks, corporations and all forms of slavery and exploitation. May science and technology be utilised for the preservation of the earths ecosystems; the creation of abundance, and the well being of all. May a system emerge where the incentive for corruption does not exist. May the educational system evolve and nurture all hearts and minds in accordance with the variety of mental dispositions present in human form; allowing the flowering of all talents and interests with no competition or need to find an occupation characterised by drudgery. May all financial deprivation and the stress, violence and disease it causes be eliminated. May mother nature be free from government that facilitates her destruction. And may all beings learn of the causes of happiness and terminate the causes of suffering.
