Pinkard House, Milltown, Chambers County, AL. Going through my files I found this photo from 1998. Yesterday I located the house again and this view is totally obscured from view now with pine trees and privet hedge. The two rooms at each end of the porch are later additions to the earlier part of the house, which in plan is a central hall flanked by large rooms and shed rooms across the back. The front rooms are only accessible from the porch and likely would have been used as a parlor and a bedroom. There were a good number of houses with this design in Chambers County but most are no longer standing.
