Pip-Boy 3000 Tutorial? I have no idea if this actually counts as a tutorial, but you guys wanted to see more of the pip-boy. My brother wants to do a Fallout cosplay and it was his idea to use his phone on the pipboy so it looks more realistic. I surprised him by throwing this together with some stuff I had lying around. The materials I used are: Craft foam Hotglue googly eyes dimensional paint modpodge Silver spray paint black and silver acrylic bottle caps a phone case and a heat gun I just glued a few layers of craft foam on top of each other, added some dimensional paint and hot glue for decorations. I heated it with my heat gun and shaped it, then glued it closed after that I covered it in modpodge (Craft foam absorbs paint and the modpodge not only seals everything in but gives it a different texture so that the paint last longer) Then I spray painted it with 1 really thick coat and let that dry, then I did some heavy weathering and made sure I got all the little nooks and crannies I used my fingers and a stippling brush (dry) Once that was done I just covered it in modpodge again. The whole project took less than a day.
