Pirates midfielder Manti Moholo will be hoping for a better 2013/14 Absa Premiership campaign for both himself and for the club itself. Moholo believes that Bucs’ involvement in the early CAF games will give the team an advantage over the rest of the PSL teams in terms of match fitness. Moholo said “We will definitely have more match fitness than any of the other teams. It will be good for us, because we’ll have a slight advantage as we’ll have a few extra matches under our belt.” The 27-year-old had an impressive start to his career at Pirates before picking up an injury which saw him miss a large chunk of the PSL season. Moholo played in the three league games under Augusto Palacios, before Roger de Sa stepped in as head coach and Palacious returned to his role in the club’s head of development. The player added, “The coach has had some good talks with us. He always tells us that we need to stick together. He emphasises how we need to stay together for this whole season. We will keep those words with us. “We all believe that together we can conquer, but divided we will fall. Everyone is gearing up and working hard, there is no player that has been lacking in training, so we are more than ready,” concluded Moholo.
