Placement Officer Required for Meath Volunteer Centre Meath Partnership is recruiting for a Placement Officer with an immediate start to work within the Volunteer Centre. Working as part of the Volunteer Centre Development Team, the Placement Officer will has primary responsibility for facilitating engagement with and capacity building of volunteer-involving organisations, to support the effective placement of volunteers within the county. Key duties will include: Building productive relationships with voluntary and community organisations to ensure the registration of a wide range of volunteering opportunities with the centre - Providing advice, training and assistance to organisations wishing to recruit volunteers - Consulting and networking with community and voluntary organisations, keeping them informed and supported with information on good practice with respect to all aspects of volunteering - Recruiting volunteers for a variety of tasks and roles carrying out interviews, workshops and road-show activities showcasing the range and variety of volunteering opportunities available in Co Meath - Organising and facilitating volunteer events and initiatives to promote volunteering across the community Maintaining and updating the database of volunteers and volunteering opportunities using i-Vol (training will be provided). Salary: In the region of €30,631 - €33,750 per annum based on 39 hour working week. Access to own transport is essential and a mileage allowance is paid.
