Places of captivity are hell for animals, thats ANY captivity. Please consider what they endure for your so called entertainment, food, toiletries, clothing etc. See it through their eyes. Then, please go vegan. You are awakened to your breakfast being brought, despite wanting a lie in, but today was the day you wanted a coconut, not banana. You go to dip in the river but there is only a small tub. Are you frustrated yet? A chance glimpse at someone you would like as a friend, but you have no access for communication, someone built a wall with bars. Are you panicking yet? You fancy a nap, but there is too much noise and people staring, banging on bars and glass. Are you feeling trapped yet? You try to hide but its time for your lunch, but you didnt want it just yet. You are longing for peace, but your neighbour who you cant stand is bothering you again. You cant get away. Are you feeling desperate yet? You want a tree for some shade but the only one available is painted on a wall. Your babies are with you, but you never got a choice for them to be born. Are you feeling violated yet? They come and take one as a token gift for another country. The other is killed due to not enough room, they said you were only supposed to have one. Are you grief stricken yet? Darkness surrounds you: Do you want to end it yet? Life in a zoo. Deprived of everything natural and normal. Gawped at, told what to eat and when to eat it, who you can interact with, when to play, when to sleep. Are you having fun yet? Life is not fun when you have no life. Depression is commonplace. Animals will display signs of depression and frustration; rocking, smashing their heads against bars, killing themselves, their young and each other. If you were dictated to every second of every day, how would you feel? Are you feeling overwhelmed, exploited and vulnerable yet? ANY place of captivity (I dont mean *genuine* places of refuge) is HELL for animals. You pay and you support this. Please say no to animal USE. ALL of it. By being vegan.
