Planes change routes frequently due to bad weather... So why did a plane carrying 295 passengers on board,chose to fly over a war zone area where military and transport planes are being shot down almost weekly since few months?? Only 2 days ago an Antonov A-26 was shot down over Donetsk.. The FAA did classify the area over Crimea as a non-flying zone few months ago, where no fightings ever happened, but left the eastern buffer zone unrestricted? And why as an anticipation, havent the Ukrainian government warned all international flights not to fly over its separatist controlled Donbas area?
