Description Medium sized tree from 25-50ft high. The lucuma is subtropical and naturally grows at elevations of 9000-10000ft in Peru. Hardiness It will tolerate several degrees of frost and grows well in cooler than tropical climates. Growing Environment Grow in full sun. Will adapt to dry locations. Propagation By seeds. Uses Eaten fresh out of hand or used to make ice cream. Native Range Native to the Andes mountains of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador.
