Play by play: 1st day in athens had afternoon free, but decided to nap and rest, before meeting the group for orientation. Next day (first full day, yesterday) saw the Parthenon, acropolis, tour of Athena (Athens). Had afternoon free so went to the national archeological museum (told was a must see). Then dinner i ditched my group and had lamb, eggplant etc in a fancy restaurant with views if the night time Parthenon. Cabbed it there and back so got to see athens at night. In the afternoon was hungry, tried to find a spanokopita in a bakery...no luck, so they gave me tiropita (feta cheese...i ate half obviously...high salt). I still need to have ouzo and other traditional greek fare. Anyways im one of two people in their 30s. Lots of nurses (retired). Two other people from Canada (Saskatchewan)...no aussies, rest American.
