Players of the Week: AFC: Philip Rivers, QB, San Diego - TopicsExpress

Players of the Week: AFC: Philip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers - 28/37, 284yds, 3TDs I had to pick Rivers for this because he found what could be a potential weakness in the Seattle defence in that they do not match up well with smaller, faster and more agile receivers like Keenan Allen. Apart from this he threw a pretty much perfect game and has lifted the Chargers to 1-1 after their loss Week 1 to the Cardinals. He faces another tough defence next week when he charges into Buffalo looking to get them off to a 2-1 start. NFC: Kyle Fuller, CB, Chicago Bears - 7 Tackles and 2 Interceptions: This was a tough one as I had considered Jordy Nelson with his huge performance in the second half against the Jets. I decided to go with Fuller because I had to give the rookies some love, the first round pick of the Bears played some physical football wrestling an interception away from Michael Crabtree and he accounted for 2/3 of the interceptions that the Bears had against Colin Kaepernick. He was also tied for first on the team in tackles which is a reason why the Bears picked him in the draft, a very good fit. Others Considered: AFC: EJ Manuel, QB, Buffalo Bills - 16/26, 202yds, TD Chandler Jones, DE, New England Patriots - 8 Tackles, 2 Sacks, Blocked Field goal and a TD. NFC: Jordy Nelson, WR, Green Bay Packers - 9 Rec, 209yds, TD Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins - 22/33, 250yds, 2TDs. Stay Tuned for news and a Week 3 preview.
