Cast Size: 11 Males: 4 Females: 7 Age Range: 14-20 Approx. running time: 70 minutes Setting: Myrtlehill Terrace, 1911 First performed by Activate Youth Theatre, 2010 SYNOPSIS Myrtlehill Terrace, the play takes place in a terrace of nineteenth century houses just before the taking of the 1911 census. The coming of the Census Man raises many issues for the residents of the terrace, their maids and the people who frequent it. Though set a hundred years ago its themes are timeless - religion - love - ambition. As mentioned in the opening of the play: ‘Just before the taking of the 1911 census there lived in this terrace members of the Church of Ireland. Members of the Church of Ireland and Methodists. Methodists and Catholics. Catholics and Irish. Irish and English.
