Please Do Not Write A Love Poem If You Cant Follow These Instructions If someone says, “I wrote a love poem for you”, Don’t believe, Words cannot describe the feeling, How can lavender come close? Valentine Day cards, candies, Rose petals leading to the bedroom, Cheap tricks used to spell the beauty of what is golden, Call me cheap, The stereotype about Jewish people ain’t true, I ain’t Jewish but at least we cleared that up, Proving she’s the one shouldn’t be based on materials, You got the wrong girl if that’s all it takes, I could talk about her beauty, Use fancy analogies proving that I am creative, But it would only show my carelessness, The fact that I would think of my Love so lowly, Comparing her to features below her level repetitively, Often times we hear of the comparison of; Eyes, legs, hips, and swag, People talk about if the shoe fits, Describing who they love as mere objects instead of true creations, Describing who they love as pieces to a puzzle when the jagged edges of not being able to put them together, Working and striving, Struggling and earning rewards is what the marriage is based on, So I am not going to do that, I am not going to describe how imperfect her hair is, I wish for you not to describe how sarcastically spectacular his strength is, I would never describe the love of my life to materials that erode, When the opposite happens in regards to old age, Instead of eroding, beautifying partners through the years makes the love of your life priceless, Because of all these explanations, I am going to show how beautiful the Love of my life is in regards to the best of equations, Solutions, Input and Output, Analogies have no place, I use examples from our dear Prophet (peace be upon him), When you speak of beauty, Make sure you mention the ranks your wife climbed, The Prophet (peace be upon him) reminds us: “The woman who does her domestic chores attains the rank of those upholding jihad.” How beautiful is your wife? Do you use fair comparisons or cheap tricks you tossed one dollar bills? The beauty of your wife, And for the women who ask, How about my husband? How can I describe the love I have for him? The answer is simple, Do both male and female hands wash the same plate? Do you drink from the same cup? Husbands who assist wives in the household, Receive the reward of Sadaqah, The beauty of Islam cannot be described by mortal flaws, Perfection trains servants how to closely resemble the best of followers, When I ask how beautiful whom you love? Do you answer by showing me the service medal on his or her jacket? Does the beauty of action, preferably from the husband, Give comfort to his wife? You can call me cheap for not using a price check, For not speaking about diamonds or crown jewels, The Love of my Life I wouldn’t let her wear the crown, For her to be the Queen of this Dunya is an insult, She earned the reward of being the Queen of my Jennah, Think about it like this, Does your husband or wife pray without missing or forgetting? Do they fast in the month of Ramadan? Does your wife protect her chastity? Does your husband listen attentively? In regards to the Women, The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Such a woman will enter into Jennah from any of the doors she wishes to enter from.” Can you describe her beauty by answering the above questions? I am not trying to be harsh, I wish to fix how we describe those who give birth, Describing women in such fashion; How low can they go? Are they curvy? Do they have the right specifications? What are the specifications? Pardon my ignorance but don’t we age, We gotta’ have something besides external beauty to rely on, True love, Being able to describe beauty is not about the object of desire, It is about how the world functions around that in which you love, The husband who listens, The wife who successfully completes her duties, We are told by the Prophet (peace be upon him) “The woman who is obedient and subservient to her husband; The birds in the air, Fish in the sea, Angels in the sky and animals in the jungles seek forgiveness for her” Can you describe the beauty of that in which you are trying to describe in this manner, If not, please do not write your love poem…
