Please Like and Share this video. Please help the city of Hanford by voting no on the 1% sales tax increase this November. We want a sales tax that requires a two thirds majority vote because that will require the city to spend the money only on which it was designated for which shall be Public Safety. If you vote yes the way it currently sits on the ballot in November you will still get the sales tax increase but the money but not only be used for Public Safety it will be used for other programs as the city sees fit. The city has shown us over the years that it cannot spend money wisely and has neglected public services. So vote NO and enforce the city to put this sales tax increase on the ballot with a two thirds majority requirement to pass and ensure that the money will only be spent on public safety. To all the police officers who went to the city Council and asked that this bill be passed, please help yourselves and vote NO on the current tax measure because the money will not just be used for Public Safety it will be used for other programs as the city sees fit. We the citizens will pass a bill with a two thirds majority if it is only to be spent on public safety and support of public safety operations, not other community programs.
