Please, Please, be quiet, about, Judge Not, and the book of Tupac,Only God Can Judge Me...If youre not bringing it from the word. Quoting Tupac has no place in church. I use it here to show how inaccurate the statement is because its missing one word. He shouldve said, Only God can righteously judge me...You say Will if only God can righteously judge me, why does the other judgment count. Because God said so. He put it right here in Matthew 7, teaching us how to judge one another and not do his job, thats his to do on the day of judgment. Matthew 7:1 is the most misquoted misinterpreted verse of scripture in the world. Matthew 7:1; Judge not, that ye be not judged. Many read the, judge not and stop right there, They dont even bother to read the other five verses that follow, that explain to us how to judge one another, and hold one another accountable. Yes were called to judge one another and hold one another accountable, but in Gods way. Matthew 7:1-6King James Version (KJV) 7 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. I know theres been countless sermons given on this. Ive even sat through one where the pastor giving the sermon was nowhere close to being right on what the scripture was saying. Verses 1-4, say basically the same thing. Dont commit yourself to bringing wise counsel/judgment/accountability upon someone if youre not going to be forthright/transparent. Because if you start slanging the mud at someone and they know an ounce of dirt on you, guess what, its coming right back at you. (Matt 7:1-2)... So when its put on you and you discern what it is youre suppose to do you have to be totally obedient and Take the Mote, The Beam out of your eye...and go give that good Godly counsel. A mote or beam as referred to in the scripture is; dust, a blemish, a substance causing an imperfection. What does that sound like to you? Sin... (Matt 7:3-4)...Dont be ashamed to give your testimony to help someone because thats all youre really doing when you counsel to hold someone accountable. Were called to; discern, counsel, and give the judgment of(removal from leadership or excommunication until renewal of obedience can be reestablished. A lot of you dont venture out and approach people when you see them doing wrong because you read the first part of Matt 7, and stop there. I charge you to rebuke the enemy and be transparent, take that opportunity to win a soul to Christ, or win one back thats wayward. Your testimony is yours to give not keep. You have to be willing to preface any counseling with your wrong doing of the like or similar to what the person youre counseling has done.
