Please Share :Thank you everyone for the support and help with Queen Of Paws rescue efforts. Being a relatively new and up and coming rescue we have strived to prove our work and dedication through our presence amongst the rescue community and providing everyone with regular updates on our rescues , both fostered and permanent residents. In order to take our efforts to the next level where we need to be at to operate on a much larger scale the only thing holding us back is obtaining our 501(c)(3) to operate as a non-profit organization. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes in rescue and without our 501(c)(3) status we will not be able to function at the level we want to. Currently we have to pay taxes on ALL donations recieved by the rescue. With our non-profit status those donations are not taxed which means more money for our dogs as well as a tax write off for the donator. Aside from that with our 501(c)(3) we will be able to establish pull rights with animal shelters and therefor eliminate having to locate someone with a 501(c)(3) to do our pulling for us. This is not only complicated but time consuming, time that could be used in networking , transporting , etc. Along with the above, 501(c)(3) will provide us to use rescue resources at both vet clinics , boarding facilities and some pet stores. We are looking to relocate in October to a much larger facility and before that is done our goal is to have non profit status so that we can obtain our kennel license , be accepted by potential landlords , and set up adoption events with local stores and events to make our presence known in the community. We will also be able to utilize rescue/networking resources to the fullest which will help with our adoptions and fundraising efforts in the future .
