Please consider my first video production which is a tribute to the great one: Christopher Hitchens. It is very revealing of how harmful religion, especially Christianity, truly is. I apologize for the bad audio on some parts but it really still is worth watching, Enjoy! How Religion Leads to Statism The state isnt the only institution attempting to brainwash us into Manchurian citizens. Religion plays a key role in maneuvering whole populations to suppress their critical thinking thus molding us into easily herded mindless sheep. Early on some very cunning charlatans determined that if enough people believed that they have spoken to divine beings or claimed to have had visions of prophecy, that they might be revered and honored as saints or earthly gods. Such imposters were rewarded with acclamation that endowed them with the power of blind unquestioned loyalty which would essentially enslave the masses to serve their masters hidden agendas. Quickly rising as generals of armies or kings of nations was common and provided vast riches and god-like power. Religion therefore became a primitive form of government and those who were regarded as men of God became its dictators. The Popes of the early Roman Catholic Church were a great example of this. It later broke away into many different sects of Christianity because of its runaway abuses and corruption. There is nothing redeeming about religion because even in its most benevolent form, it primes us to become subservient to government whereby the state acts as our god. The end result is a population of Manchurian citizens who serve the state with enduring devotion despite its endless abuses.
