Please consult with your upholsterer about your fabric choice BEFORE you purchase anything. I have received quite a few inquiries from people who are buying their fabric before they get an experts opinion. Yardage charts are for reference only, much like an estimate is not a quote. You must take into account the pattern you are choosing, whether or not that plain fabric has a nap to it and if the pattern runs up the roll or is railroaded. I hate telling people that they are going to need 5-10 more yards of fabric, but I am sure they hate it more that they have to find that same fabric (lets hope it is still in stock) in the same dye lot, not to mention shelling out even more cash. So, please leave the calculation of yardage up to your upholsterer. Pattern matching is key to the upholstery process and we just want you to be happy with a piece that will live in your space for years to come.
