Pockets and pouches were filled with sweet smelling herbs ( or posies) which were carried due to the belief that the disease was transmitted by bad smells. The term "Ashes Ashes" refers to the cremation of the dead bodies! simply amazing and jack and jill was a beheading of two royal bloods i think it mean some else though you know they went up the hill with a pail of water in modern terms we call pail buckets the two went to the top laughing(hilarious)thats the hill had a pale baby the baby was dead and when they dropped it it started crying they went mad with laughter just another theory though..brb though
